Glassing wooden fins?

i need help with how many layers of fiberglass i should use for my fins. I've made myself some fins out of wood and now need to fiberglass them for my shaper to put on my board. i'd also like to know if I'm supposed to sand the fins at any point in the fiberglassing period. this is the first time I've ever fiberglassed anything and all information would be appreciated.
