Matthew 9:12 How can we be physicians to the sick and the needy?

He wasn't speaking of physical ills, but spiritual ones. His constant message theme was the way to Himself, and thus to Heaven. Only God can remove our sin (sickness) and heal us spiritually. We can't do it for ourselves. We can't believe the way we would need to to be saved. Our 'acceptance of Jesus' won't save us. Water baptism won't save us. Only Jesus can heal and save us.
